Polar Bear Painting

Reflection:

I made paintings for those close to me for Christmas; this friend liked polar bears.

Out of all of the paintings I made for Christmas, this is by far my favorite. I was initially worried about contrast in the fur, since it’s white. The way they fur and sky work together is great. I’m happy I was able to show both warm and cool tones to create light and shadow.

I’ve known about color theory since elementary school but this is likely the first time I really applied that knowledge.
